Growing Lemon Kush: flowering time, yield and breeder specs

There is no single Lemon Kush to grow. Humboldt Seed Company’s version finishes in 55 days, Zambeza’s in about 55, Female Seeds’ in 60 days to 10 weeks depending on who lists it, and Weedmaps gives nine to ten weeks; heights run from compact to "extremely tall". Check the breeder before trusting any figure.1,2,3,4,5,6

Seed-company figures are the sellers’ own claims, and the rows describe different genetics that share a name (see genetics).

What the plant is like

Descriptions conflict because the plants differ. SeedFinder’s copy of Humboldt Seed Company’s text calls its Lemon Kush "extremely tall", growing "like a cluster of Bamboo" with uniformly large, lemon-scented buds, while Alchimia describes Female Seeds’ line as compact with short internodes, and SeedFinder’s breeder text for the same line names three phenotypes, from short and fast to long and stretched.3,6,7 Wikileaf, describing dispensary flower, gives 4–6 ft indoors and small, dense, light-green buds under a heavy coat of trichomes; Leafly likewise describes light green buds "covered in a white frosting of trichomes".12,13

What to watch for

The version decides the schedule. Flowering claims run from 55 days (Humboldt Seed Company, Zambeza) to 9–10 weeks (Zamnesia’s Female Seeds listing, Kush Cannabis Seeds, Weedmaps), and Alien Genetics’ regular-seed version was never sold on its own, so a packet labelled Lemon Kush can be any of several plants.1,2,4,5,10,14 Weedmaps says the strain flourishes in Mediterranean climates, Wikileaf recommends an indoor environment for beginners, and Female Seeds’ breeder text, as copied by SeedFinder, calls its line easy for beginners.3,5,12

Seeds and the law in the US

Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.15 Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.16 Home cultivation rules are set by each state. This site does not sell seeds.
