Energizing or sleepy?
It depends on whose Lemon Kush it is. Leafly places the strain on the energizing side of its scale, its top effects are happy, giggly and uplifted, and Wikileaf says couch-lock is not often reported.1,5 The seed versions tell a different story: Humboldt Seed Company’s is 75% indica and "calming", Zambeza’s is "stoned, relaxed", and Plantation Premium Seeds’ is "body-forward".2,3,6,9 Ask which version a product is before expecting either (see genetics).
Why two batches can feel different
Lab potency varied widely even in our small sample: one in ten of the 29 tests came in under 11.05% THC and one in ten above 18.91%.10 Add eight seed pedigrees sold under one name and the same label can cover noticeably different flower.11
